Shoyu ‘Ahi Poké

SHOYU ‘AHI POKÉ a local favorite pūpū in Hawai’i

Poké is the ultimate Hawaiian pūpū (AKA appetizer). There are so many different kinds of poké in Hawai’i, especially ‘ahi (AKA tuna) poké is most popular!

Here is a quick & easy recipe of soy sauce base poké dish, Shoyu ‘Ahi Poké. Simply stir through MINATO Hawaiian Style Poké Sauce. Also you can use other protein such as tofu, shrimp or octopus instead of ‘ahi.

Perfect with steamed rice or sushi rice in a poke bowl, or served on its own.

 

What you need

  • Sashimi-grade ‘Ahi or Yellowfin cut into 1-inch cubes. 1/2 lb. (225g)
  • Yellow Onion thinly sliced. 2 tbsp
  • Avocado diced. 1/2 (optional),
  • Green Onion sliced. 1/4 cup
  • Sesame seeds toasted. 1.5 tsp
  • Hawaiian Style Poke Sauce 1.5-2 tbsp
